摘要：

“死亡”委婉语不仅是世界各民族语言中共存的一种语言现象 ,同时是一种社会现象及文化现象。它的运用 ,丰富地体现了中西文化的差异。论文通过对比分析中英“死亡”委婉语的共性与个性 ,探讨了语言与文化之间存在的千丝万缕的联系 ,揭示了这一语言现象中所蕴含的深厚文化意蕴。

Abstract: Death"euphemism is not only a kind of language phenomenon coexisting in languages of various nationalities, but also a kind of social phenomenon and culture phenomenon. Its application has well embodied the difference of the Eastern and Western culture. By comparing and analyzing the common and distinct character of "Death"euphemism in Chinese and English, the article probes into connections between language and culture, reveals the deep cultural implication contained in this language phenomenon.
